Where are you based, and how do I get the food?
We're based in Canton, Michigan, and prepare everything in our commercial kitchen in Ypsilanti.
Three ways to get it: pick up at one of our market events, direct delivery if you're within about 30 miles of
Ypsilanti, or we'll ship it frozen anywhere in Michigan. We're Michigan-only for now — if you're out of state,
we're working on reaching you.
Where do you deliver and ship?
Michigan only, for now. We cook in Ypsilanti and everything leaves frozen, so we only go as far
as we can promise it still arrives frozen — and today that's within the state.
If you're within about 30 miles of Ypsilanti we deliver to your door. Further out in Michigan, we ship frozen with
dry ice and/or gel ice packs. You can also pick up at our kitchen or catch us at a local farmers market.
When your box arrives, put it straight in the freezer. If it arrives cold but soft, refrigerate and use within a couple
of days — just don't refreeze a bowl that's fully thawed.
Outside Michigan? We're working on it — we'd rather wait than send your pup a thawed box.
What do you actually make?
Fresh, fully customizable bowls and toppers — you choose the proteins, vegetables, fruits and portions from
whatever's available that week, so the bowl is built around your dog instead of an average one. We also bake dog treats.
There's no single preset recipe, which is rather the point.
Is it AAFCO certified and complete and balanced?
Worth clearing up, because the term gets used loosely: AAFCO doesn't certify or approve pet foods. They set the
nutritional standards that foods making a "complete and balanced" claim are formulated against.
Our bowls are customer-formula food — you build them — so we don't represent every possible combination as a complete
and balanced diet. The balance genuinely changes depending on what's chosen, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than
make a blanket claim that doesn't hold for every bowl.
And this is where we really believe pet-parent choice matters. Depending on how you plan to use the food, you can build
the bowl around what you already know works for your dog, follow guidance from your vet, or work with a veterinary
nutritionist if you'd like help designing a more specific feeding plan. We're happy to work with whichever approach makes
sense for you — and if you'd rather start small, our bowls work beautifully as a topper alongside their existing
food.
Are you licensed?
Yes — we're licensed with the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) and operate within
Michigan's commercial feed requirements. Happy to talk sourcing or process any time you'd like to know more.
Can I use it as a topper instead of a full meal?
Absolutely —
you decide what it is. The same bowl works as a complete dinner, a topper over
their usual kibble, or an occasional treat. The size slider in the builder goes from a small spoonful's worth up to a
full feast, so build to however you feed. Every ingredient you pick is listed on the label either way. Curious what's

How long does it keep?
There are no preservatives in anything we make — the cold does the preserving. Keep bowls frozen and they're good
for about a month. Move one to the fridge the night before you need it. Thaw once, serve, done — never refreeze a fully
thawed bowl.
My dog has allergies or is a fussy eater. Can you work with that?
That's rather the whole idea. You pick every ingredient, so anything your dog can't have simply never goes in.
Tell us the proteins and fruits they love, what they turn their nose up at, and any sensitivities — and if you're switching
from another food, go slowly: a spoonful mixed into their usual dinner, more each day over a week or so.
